Porsche eBike Performance was founded to drive the transformation of mobility with smart, innovative electrical solutions. We house a unique pool of expertise with e-bike drive system specialist FAZUA, Croatian software and connectivity innovator Greyp and, of course, all the knowledge, research and experience from the Porsche family.

Who are we looking for?

For our System Integration department, we are looking for a System Integration Embedded Software engineer with at least ten years of experience in Embedded Software system development and management.
Our product-based R&D Organization consists of three departments developing physical products for the Bicycle Industry: Drive Units, Batteries and Vehicle Control Units.
This advertised position's main purpose is high-level overview and the engagement of common activities for all Embedded Software development within the organization.

Responsibilities

Assisting with Embedded Software Product Requirements creation
Provide technical guidance and feasibility studies for product development
Writing Embedded Software System Technical requirements
Reviewing Product Requirements and Device Technical Requirements
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Embedded Software teams
Review of Code and Testing documentation
Collaboration with Product Management, Research and Development, Testing andCertification, Production and Quality Management departments
Collaboration with cross-functional teams, specially Embedded Hardware, ensuringseamless integration of embedded systems and reliable device operation
Writing Embedded Software development documentation
Defining and documenting Embedded Software development procedures and bestpractices

Requirements & Qualifications

Substantial knowledge in embedded C and C++ and related design patterns
Experience with Python
Experience with CAN and / or BLE
Experience in defining the software architecture for real-time embedded systems
Minimum 8 years of professional experience in developing embedded applications andsystems
Master's or bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science or relevant disciplines
Familiar with state-of-the art software development engineering practices (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, Requirements Management)
Very good technical knowledge and excellent problem-solving ability
Flexible, self-organized, proactive and team player
Excellent communication skills with people from various backgrounds
Experience with project management
Creative and critical thinking

Bonus points

Team Lead or higher management position experience
Experience with Embedded Software functional Safety development(V-model, Procedures, Requirements and Software tools)
German language skills are an advantage
