Porsche eBike Performance was founded to drive the transformation of mobility with smart, innovative electrical solutions. We house a unique pool of expertise with e-bike drive system specialist FAZUA, Croatian software and connectivity innovator Greyp and, of course, all the knowledge, research and experience from the Porsche family.
Who are we looking for?
For our Applicative Software Team we are looking for an experienced Mobile Team Lead who will  lead a team of Android and iOS developers to design, develop, and maintain mobile applications. As Mobile Lead you’ll be responsible for managing Jira tasks, estimating time and resources for development and testing, and tracking progress to ensure timely delivery.

In this role, which aligns with the Tech Owner position in our agile framework, you will:

  • Tech Backlog Management: Set and communicate team goals, organise sprints, prioritise backlog items, and ensure transparency for the Scrum Team.

  • Product Definition: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Product Owners to define product features and tasks, ensuring alignment with project objectives.

  • Technological Domain Oversight: Enforce adherence to development standards and guidelines, maintain quality assurance procedures, and stay updated on the latest industry trends.

  • Leadership: Mentor and guide your team, set targets, monitor team performance, and provide technical direction. You’ll ensure that the team is aligned with organisational goals and agile principles.

  • Project Management: Translate product requirements into actionable technical tasks, manage project progress, resolve technical roadblocks, and synchronise release planning with stakeholders.

As the Team Lead, you will make strategic decisions, handle coordination with various stakeholders, and ensure your team’s success by maintaining a clear and effective development process. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership to drive the mobile development process forward effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership:

    • Lead a team of Android and iOS developers to develop, test, and maintain mobile applications.

    • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, guiding team members toward best practices and professional growth.

    • Set clear team goals, delegate tasks, and establish deadlines to meet project timelines.

    • Oversee day-to-day operations and monitor team performance, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met.

    • Motivate team members, gather their feedback, and resolve any issues or conflicts to maintain a positive work environment.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Product Owners, designers, and QA) to define, design, and ship new features aligned with business goals.

    • Ensure alignment on Jira tasks, timelines, and deliverables with relevant stakeholders.

    • Participate in project planning and contribute to discussions around feature requirements and technical feasibility.

  • Project and Task Management:

    • Write and organise Jira tasks for development and testing efforts, maintaining a well-prioritised backlog.

    • Make accurate estimations on the time and resources needed to complete Jira tasks, enabling effective sprint planning.

    • Track and manage the progress of Jira tasks, ensuring that project milestones and deadlines are consistently met.

    • Monitor and manage overall project progress, keeping the team focused on key deliverables and adjusting plans as necessary.

  • Technical Oversight and Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure the team adheres to coding standards, quality assurance procedures, and established software development methodologies.

    • Identify and promptly resolve technical issues and roadblocks that may arise during the development process.

    • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in mobile development to continually enhance the team's technical capabilities and innovation.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Experience:

    • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or team lead role, focusing on managing and mentoring a team of mobile developers.

    • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in mobile application development, with expertise in either Android or iOS.

    • Practical experience with Agile methodologies, especially Scrum, and familiarity with backlog management tools like Jira.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong proficiency in mobile development with expertise in either Swift and Objective-C (for iOS) or Kotlin and Java (for Android).

    • In-depth understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, performance optimisation, and platform-specific best practices.

    • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and mobile testing frameworks.

    • Experience with version control systems such as Git, and familiarity with CI/CD practices.

  • Leadership and Communication:

    • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support a development team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

    • Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and present ideas clearly.

    • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage tasks and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Project Management:

    • Familiarity with project management principles, including effort estimation, task delegation, and tracking project progress within an Agile framework.

    • Ability to identify and address potential technical challenges or project obstacles proactively.

  • Additional Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

    • A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on mobile development trends and technologies.
